Well...Another week has came and gone and it
just keeps getting better for the Woodsmen. We had another awesome
weekend!! We started out Saturday in Columbus, IN at the Rocky Ford
Free Methodist Church. And what a time we had! Wonderful people! They
always treat us so good, and I think they are the best cooks in the
state of Indiana. But I have to say this.... Before we sang we were on
the bus and I heard Ray scream really loud. Kinda like a little tenor
singer! LOL!! He was shaving his big bald head which I can't understand
why because there's only three hairs that grow there anyways! Well he
gashed his head with the razor and blood was everywhere. It looked like
a C.S.I. crime scene!! We did get the bleeding stopped before the
singing though. But Ray is fine and it wasn't really as bad as I put on.
After the service we headed out for Findlay, OH. And a long journey
was drug out because of road construction the whole way!!!!! We arrived
in Findlay at the Salem Cass United Methodist around 2:00 in the morning
and the church left us a very nice note and had the church open for us
to go ahead and set our music. I can't say in words how good the people
there were to us. It felt like we were old friends and it was my first
trip there!! Now that is hospitality folks! We had a wonderful service
and a packed house!! After we sang we were on the bus and i saw
something in the vent and couldn't make out what it was. Well....I
reached in and started pulling it out and it was an 8 foot long SNAKE
SKIN!!! I instantly asked who was fooling around and all the guys were
freaking out so that let me know right off.....Whatever left that skin
was still on the bus!!!!! Now we don't have an emergency exit in the
back of the bus but if any of you know the old Wendy Bagwell stories..
you know what was going to happen if I saw it!!!! Everywhere I looked,
everything I reached for even in the bays under the bus, I was checking
it out really good just in case. We found out later that RAY!!!! put it
in the vent and thought it would be funny. Needless to say...Mr. Ray,
A.K.A. Bass singer..You got one coming brother! LOL!
Tim did a really great job this
weekend and is really getting in to the M.C. bit, and getting pretty
good at it! Another month or so you might see him hosting the PRICE IS
RIGHT! And Josh.....He blesses my heart every week when we sing. Every
weekend he gives it his all and puts his heart into every song he sings.
Awesome job this weekend brother! And little Josh came this week too
and we had a great time! Even though he beat me at every game we played!
LOL! Ray....We can't forget about Ray...Good Ole Ray...With all his
injuries. Ray is doing fine with his hurt wrist, His gashed head, his
knots on his head from bumping it on everything on the bus. I can go on
and on with the injury list. He is the most accident prone man i have
ever known! You could lock him in as padded room and somehow... some
way... He would get cut or break something. But when it comes to singing
the bass part..Thats no accident! He is the best! Did a really great
job this weekend and just keeps getting better!
Folks you read our stories each
week and see how much fun we have, and the great services we have been
having. This weekend check out our schedule and come on out and join us.
Then you will already know what we are going to say next week!!!! Look
forward to seeing you all this weekend. Until next time...
God bless you & yours!
